WE ALL NEED VITAMIN SEA…

17-07-2024

The sea is mostly warm - its temperature does not fall below 11 degrees Celsius, with an average depth of 173 meters while the maximum depth is 1233 meters. Our sea is adorned with 1244 islands, islets, cliffs and reefs, and, on the throne as the largest, stands the island of Cres.

The salinity of the Adriatic Sea is high - it averages 38.30 per mile, which means that 38.30 grams of salt are dissolved in one kilogram of water. It is also interesting that the southern part of the Adriatic is saltier than the northern.

But it’s not just the „big blue“ that makes the sea what it is. The sea breathes, changes its colours, gets a little angry, rests a little, calls, and scares a little. The odour of the sea is immediately associated with summer,  salt in the hair and bare feet. It is reminiscent of fishing nets tangled and unravelled, the clicking of seagulls in the distance and the song of old fishermen. It loves its cracks and rocks, hides hundreds of secrets and loves. By the sea, we make new friendships that last forever and we always return to the sea. The sea feeds us, gives us life, and for some of us - it is life. For some, it is the end of the day and the beginning of another.

And as it merges with the sky and invites us to rest, our ships sail slowly from port to port. Be like the sea, look at infinity and create new memories… “no matter where the sea will always be waiting for you” – {Alessandro Barrico}… and our KL team as well! In the end, we all need vitamin SEA!
